What is this section about?
If you also judge your month by how many Kindle Unlimited or Kindle books you managed to squeeze in, this section is for you. These are the reads that made my TBR shorter for about five minutes before adding ten more to it—full of favorites, fun finds, and the books I think are absolutely worth the download.
Off-Campus Series by Elle Kennedy
I know I’m far from the first person to talk about Elle Kennedy’s Off-Campus series, and I definitely won’t be the last, but honestly… the hype is deserved.
My first introduction to Elle Kennedy was actually through The Graham Effect from the Campus Diaries series, and I absolutely loved it. Somehow, though, I didn’t immediately go back and read the rest of her books after that. It wasn’t until the adaptation came out that I finally decided to dive into Off-Campus for myself—and yes, that absolutely meant rereading The Deal too.
One of my favorite things when a book gets turned into a show or movie is comparing the two. It’s always so fun to see what they keep, what they change, and whether the chemistry feels the way it did on the page. And honestly? I think they did such a good job bringing The Deal to life.
After that, I immediately binged all five of the Off-Campus books, and now I’m working my way through the Briar U books—because apparently once I entered Elle Kennedy’s hockey world, there was no going back.
Now I’m fully invested in seeing what they do next with the adaptation. As much as I love the original Briar crew, I’m especially curious to see how they bring the rest of the characters and relationships into the series. I’m excited, slightly nervous, and already mentally preparing to have opinions—which, let’s be honest, is half the fun of watching a favorite book series get adapted.
If you love hockey romance, college chaos, banter, found family, and boys who somehow become way too easy to get attached to, Off-Campus is one of those series that’s easy to understand the obsession over.
